Afghanistan Economic & Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) jointly with Islam & Liberty Network and cooperation of The White Assembly organized a one-day summit under the title of “Islam & Liberty Summit” in 21st of Feb 2019 in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The summit covered various topics about the compatibility of Islam with free society values; and the speakers/scholars shared their thoughts and researches about liberty in Islam, Market Economy in Islam and other libertarian ideas in order to educate and equip the new generation of Afghanistan with the ideas of liberty, peace, prosperity and tolerance based on their beliefs and religion. In a part of the summit member of Islam & Liberty Network, Mr. Mohammad Machine Chian via online platform also discussed and talked about Market Economy & Islam.

In this summit for the better understanding of the contents of the “Islamic Foundations of a Free Society” book (That translated and published in national languages of Afghanistan by AELSO in Dec 2018) also discussed with the participants.

 “I am really happy that as an alumni of Islam & Liberty Network and also one of its first graduates of Islam & Liberty Summer University which organized in last summer in Qom, Iran, I organized this event in Kabul, Afghanistan; in order to share with Afghan youths, what I learned from the webinars and also events of Islam & Liberty Network to promote liberty based on the Islamic views and ideas in Afghanistan. I am sure that these events can play a very significant role in education and promotion of the free society values and its compatibility with Islam religion in Afghanistan,” Said Mohammad Khalid Ramizy, Executive Director of AELSO & also a participant of Islam & Liberty Summer University- Qom, Iran.
